PlayAd – Set to profitable growth

PMG’s Nordic strategy completed with well established operations in all Nordic countries
PlayAd Norway already showing strong growth in revenues and very good profitability.

Revenues CAGR of + 72% since 2009 with a yearly group profit. Budgeting for a continued strong growth of revenues in 2017.

PMG has been profitable since 2011 and is dept free.

PMG constantly develops video ad products from a creative, technological and business perspective in order to be able to offer the most engaging and effective video ads on the market.

YouPlay – Our online TV platform showed in 2016 a growth of +60% in Sweden.

PMG’s various ad formats are powered by the ad serving platform AD10 and the online TV platform YouPlay. These technical platforms are provided by the technology company PMG Technology, a subsidiary of PMG.

Shareholder base consists of the company’s founders, members of the management team and a small number of external investors. The fully diluted ownership breaks down to BBE investment vehicles 33,1%, founders and their families 32,3% and staff/others (including board members and staff) 34,6%.

PMG presently employs approx 45 people of 10 nationalities mainly within sales and marketing.

From January 2016 Mats Ståhl (previously TV4) holds the position as Country Manager/CEO PlayAd Sweden.

Lars Blomberg
Chairman and Nordic CEO
Lars is a veteran in the advertising industry. He founded the advertising agency ‘1687’, which was lated acquired by Ogilvy, and became the CEO of Ogilvy Sweden and Ogilvy Nordic, which he headed to become the largest advertising group in the Nordic countries. After leaving Ogilvy in 2005, Lars started the investment firm BBE, which is the largest shareholder in the company.

Marc Schäfer
Board Member
Marc has extensive experience from the online and media industry and as a partner and investor he represents BBE. Currently he is engaged as COO.

Ulf Sandberg
Board Member
Ulf is a veteran in the media industry. He founded the media agency ‘Starcom’, which he headed to become the largest media agency in Sweden. In recent years, Ulf has been active as a private investor and consultant for a number of established and newly-started media companies.

Fredrik Sjödin
Board Member
Fredrik has experience from the private equity and venture capital industries in the US, the UK and Sweden. He is involved in PlayAd Media Group as a private investor and board member.

Jonas Sjögren
Board Member
Since December 2016 Jonas is engaged as CEO at the global sports brand POC Group.

Tom Sundvik
Board Member
Tom is one of three co-founders of the PlayAd company with a background from marketing and communication. He is currently engaged as Marketing Manager.
